Christophe Guy Denis Lambert (born 29 March 1957 in Great Neck, New York, USA) is a French actor who became internationally famous with the role of Tarzan in
Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes in 1984. For his performance in the 1985 film
Subway, Lambert received the César Award for Best Actor. His best-known role is probably that of Connor MacLeod in the 1986 fantasy film
Highlander and the subsequent movie franchise series of the same name. He also played the thunder god Raiden in the first film adaptation of the video game
Mortal Kombat (1995). Other films I like him in are Michael Cimino's
The Sicilian (1987),
Fortress (1992) and most recently
Kickboxer: Retaliation (2018).
I met Christopher at Collectormania 25 in Birmingham in June 2018 and he was my main reason for visiting this convention. I was happy to get the chance to meet him again at Film & Comic Con Glasgow in August 2019.
