Mohammed Qissi

Mohammed Qissi (also known as Michel Qissi; born 12 September 1962 in Taza, Morocco) is a Moroccan-Belgian actor, best known for his role as Tong Po in the 1989 Jean-Claude Van Damme martial arts film Kickboxer. A long-time friend of Van Damme, they both moved to the United States in the 1980s with the aim of starting a career as an action star.

Qissi appeared as Juan Paredes in Bloodsport (1988) and as Moustafa in Lionheart (1990, known as A.W.O.L. in the UK). He returned as Tong Po in Kickboxer 2: The Road Back (1991).

I met Mohammed Qissi at Comic Con Scotland in Edinburgh in October 2019 where he signed the Kickboxer press photo for me. I purchased the Bloodsport and Lionheart photos during a German Comic Con Facebook sale in December 2021 after he had appeared at this convention earlier that month.

Christopher Lambert

Christophe Guy Denis Lambert (born 29 March 1957 in Great Neck, New York, USA) is a French actor who became internationally famous with the role of Tarzan in Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes in 1984. For his performance in the 1985 film Subway, Lambert received the César Award for Best Actor. His best-known role is probably that of Connor MacLeod in the 1986 fantasy film Highlander and the subsequent movie franchise series of the same name. He also played the thunder god Raiden in the first film adaptation of the video game Mortal Kombat (1995). Other films I like him in are Michael Cimino's The Sicilian (1987), Fortress (1992) and most recently Kickboxer: Retaliation (2018).

I met Christopher at Collectormania 25 in Birmingham in June 2018 and he was my main reason for visiting this convention. I was happy to get the chance to meet him again at Film & Comic Con Glasgow in August 2019. He returned to Film & Comic Con Glasgow in July 2026 where he signed another two items for me.
