Harry Manfredini (born 25 August 1943 in Chicago, Illinois, USA) is an American film composer and jazz soloist who has scored more than one hundred films. He is probably best known for composing the score of nine of the
Friday the 13th slasher films including the 1980 original. Manfredini also scored a number of other Sean S. Cunningham productions including
Here Come the Tigers (1978),
Manny's Orphans (1978),
Spring Break (1983), the
House series (1985-1992) and
Deep Star Six (1989). Other credits include the Wes Craven films
Swamp Thing (1982),
The Hills Have Eyes Part II (1985) and
Wishmaster (1997).
