William Gary Busey (born 29 June 1944 in Ghost Creek, Texas, USA) is an American actor. A prolific character actor, Busey has appeared in over 150 films, including

Point Break (1991),
Under Siege (1992),
The Firm (1993),
Carried Away (1996),
Black Sheep (1996),
Lost Highway (1997),

Piranha 3DD (2012). Gary also made guest appearances on television shows such as
Gunsmoke,
Walker, Texas Ranger,
Law & Order,
Scrubs,
Impractical Jokers, and

For portraying Buddy Holly in
The Buddy Holly Story (1978), Busey was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor and won the National Society of Film Critics Award for Best Actor.
