Nancy Allen

Nancy Anne Allen (born 24 June 1950 in The Bronx, New York City, New York, USA) is a retired American actress. She came to prominence for her performances in several films directed by Brian De Palma (whom she was married to from 1979 to 1984) in the 1970s and early 1980s. 

Her first major role was in Brian De Palma's Stephen King adaptation of Carrie (1976). Allen was subsequently cast as the lead in the Robert Zemeckis-directed comedy I Wanna Hold Your Hand (1978), followed by a supporting part in Steven Spielberg's 1941 (1979). She then appeared in De Palma's Dressed to Kill (1980), which earned her a Golden Globe nomination for New Star of the Year. Other films include film Blow Out (1981), Strange Invaders (1983) and The Philadelphia Experiment (1984).

I know her best as Anne Lewis in Paul Verhoeven's RoboCop (1987), a role she reprised for the two sequels that followed. The following year she appeared in Poltergeist III (1988).

William Thomas Sadler (born 13 April 1950 in Buffalo, New York, USA) is an American stage, film and television actor.

I know him best for his roles in K-9 (1989), Hard to Kill (1990), Die Hard 2 (1990), the three Bill & Ted films (1991-2020), Trespass (1992), The Shawshank Redemption (1994), The Green Mile (1999), The Mist (2007) and Iron Man (2013). He has also had recurring parts in many TV series including Poltergeist: The Legacy (1996-97), Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (1998-99), Homeland (2013), Hawaii Five-O (2010-14) and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (2015-16).

Robert Rusler (born 20 September 1965 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA) is an American film and television actor. I know him best for his roles as Max in the 1985 hit comedy Weird Science and as Grady in A Nightmare on Elm Street Part 2: Freddy's Revenge later that year. He also played Richard Lawson in the 1991 made-for-TV Stephen King adaptation Sometimes They Come Back.

I purchased Robert's autographs from two separate Showmasters Facebook sales in December 2020.

John Amos

John Allen Amos Jr. (born 27 December 1939 in Newark, New Jersey, USA) is an American actor known for his role as James Evans, Sr. on the CBS television series Good Times (1974-76) and for the 1977 miniseries Roots (1977). However, I know him best for his supporting roles in movies such as The Beastmaster (1982), American Flyers (1985),  Coming to America (1988), Lock Up (1989), Two Evil Eyes (1990), Die Hard 2 (1990) and Ricochet (1991).

I purchased Mr Amos's autograph from one of the Showmasters Facebook sales in November 2020 (he appeared at Collectormania 20 in Milton Keynes in November 2013).

Francesca Ciardi

Francesca Ciardi (born 26 July 1954 in Rome, Italy) is an Italian film actress. She is best known for her role as Faye in Ruggero Deodato's notorious horror film Cannibal Holocaust (1980).

Francesca signed the Blu-Ray sleeve for me when she appeared at London Film & Comic Con in July 2019 (I was not able to attend this event but used the Showmasters pre-order service). I purchased the signed photo from Showmasters during one of their Facebook sales in November 2020.

Bruce McCandless II

Bruce McCandless II (born 8 June 1937 in Boston, Massachusetts, USA; died 21 December 2017 in Los Angeles, California, USA) was a United States Navy officer and aviator, electrical engineer, and NASA astronaut. In 1984, during the first of his two Space Shuttle missions (STS-41-B), he completed the first untethered spacewalk by using the Manned Maneuvering Unit. His other mission was STS-31 in 1990.

I met Mr McCandless at Autographica 20 in Heathrow in April 2014.

Alan Bean

Alan LaVern Bean (born 15 March 1932 in Wheeler, Texas, USA; died 26 May 2018 in Houston, Texas, USA) was an American naval officer and aviator, aeronautical engineer, test pilot, and NASA astronaut; he was the fourth person to walk on the Moon. He was selected to become an astronaut by NASA in 1963 as part of Astronaut Group 3.

He made his first flight into space aboard Apollo 12, the second crewed mission to land on the Moon, at age 37 in November 1969. He made his second and final flight into space on the Skylab 3 mission in 1973, the second crewed mission to the Skylab space station. After retiring from the United States Navy in 1975 and NASA in 1981, he pursued his interest in painting, depicting various space-related scenes and documenting his own experiences in space as well as those of his fellow Apollo program astronauts. He was the last living crew member of Apollo 12.

Shirley Eaton

Shirley Eaton (born 12 January 1937 in Edgware, Middlesex, England) is an English actress and model, celebrated in her heyday as a major sex symbol.

Eaton appeared regularly in British films throughout the 1950s and 1960s, and gained her highest profile for her appearance as Bond Girl Jill Masterson in the James Bond film Goldfinger (1964). Eaton also had roles in the early Carry On films. Preferring to devote herself to bringing up a family, Eaton retired from acting in 1969.

I obtained Ms. Eaton's autograph through a private signing organised by Our Disappearing Planet in October 2020.

Me Me Lai (born 3 November 1951), sometimes billed as Me Me Lay, is a Burmese-British actress and television host who worked mainly in British and Italian films, most notably in the horror genre.

I know her best for her striking roles in a number of Italian cannibal-themed exploitation films: Umberto Lenzi's Man from Deep River (1972), Ruggero Deodato's Last Cannibal World (1977) and Lenzi's Eaten Alive! (1980).

I purchased Me Me's autograph from a Showmasters Facebook sale in September 2020. The photo, a copy of a German Eaten Alive! lobby card, was signed when Me Me made an appearance at London Film & Comic Con in July 2019.

Ronald Eaglesham Porter (born 26 April 1956 in Dundee, Angus, Scotland), known professionally as Ron Donachie, is a Scottish actor. I know him for his supporting roles in films The Jungle Book (1994), Titanic (1997) and the HBO fantasy series Game of Thrones (2011-12). He is the father of fellow Game of Thrones actor Daniel Portman.

Frank Bruno

Franklin Roy Bruno, MBE (born 16 November 1961 in Wandsworth, London, England) is a British former professional boxer who competed from 1982 to 1996. He had a highly publicised and eventful career, both in and out of the ring. The pinnacle of Bruno's boxing career was winning the WBC heavyweight title from Oliver McCall at a packed Wembley Stadium in 1995, in what was his fourth world championship challenge. Bruno faced multiple top-rated heavyweights throughout his career, including two fights against Mike Tyson in 1989 and 1996, and a domestic clash against Lennox Lewis in 1993.

I met Frank Bruno for the first time at the Entertainment Media Show in London in October 2012 for a photo shoot together with Mike Tyson. I met him again, this time for a signed photo, at Film & Comic Con Newcastle in March 2014.
