James Tolkan

James Stewart Tolkan (born 20 June 1931 in Calumet, Michigan) is an American actor. I know him best for his roles as Mr. Strickland in Back to the Future (1985), Back to the Future Part II (1989) and Back to the Future Part III (1990), Stinger in Top Gun (1986), Detective Lubic in Masters of the Universe (1987) and Numbers in Dick Tracy (1990).

I purchased Mr Tolkan's autograph on a Masters of the Universe 8x10 from RACC Trusted Seller #108 Ilya Zeta in December 2021. I finally got to meet him on 8 October 2022 at Comic Con Scotland where he signed my Top Gun soundtrack record sleeve and a Back to the Future 8x10. Two months later I purchased a Top Gun 8x10 from Celebrity Ink Autographs (RACC Trusted Seller #184).

Bill Conti

William Conti (born 13 April 1942 in Providence, Rhode Island, USA) is an American composer and conductor best known for his film scores. These include Rocky (1976) and four of its sequels, the James Bond film For Your Eyes Only (1981), the 1980s hit television series Dynasty, and The Right Stuff (1985). The latter earned him an Academy Award for Best Original Score. He also received nominations in the Best Original Song category for "Gonna Fly Now" from Rocky and for the title song of For Your Eyes Only, which was sung by Sheena Easton. He was the musical director at the Academy Awards a record nineteen times.

Conti composed the score of ten Sylvester Stallone films. In addition to five of the Rocky films the following productions have a Bill Conti score: F.I.S.T. (1978), Paradise Alley (1978), Victory (known as Escape to Victory in the UK and other territories) (1981), Lock Up (1989) and Avenging Angelo (2002).

Other favourites of mine include The Karate Kid (1984), the TV series North & South (1985), Masters of the Universe (1987) and Inferno (known as Desert Heat in Europe)(1999).

The signed press photo below was obtained through the mail. The signed Inferno CD booklet was purchased from Buysoundtrax.com.

Lundgren became famous as Ivan Drago, the villain in Rocky IV, one of my favourite films. He then portrayed He-Man in the 1987 film Masters of the Universe. Other notable films are Red Scorpion (1988), The Punisher (1989), Dark Angel (also known as I Come in Peace) (1990), Cover-Up (1991), Showdown in Little Tokyo (1991), Universal Soldier (1992), Pentathlon (1994), Men of War (1994), Johnny Mnemonic (1995) and the Expendables trilogy (2010-2014).

I met Dolph at London Film & Comic Con in 2016 where he signed the Rocky IV press photo and poster below. The signed colour photo with the red background was purchased from a dealer at Collectormania Glasgow a few years prior.
