Ralph Macchio

Ralph George Macchio Jr. (born 4 November 1961 in Huntington, New York, USA) is an American actor. He played Daniel LaRusso in three Karate Kid films (1984-89) and Cobra Kai (2018-present), a sequel television series. Other movie roles include Johnny Cade in The Outsiders (1983), Eddie Pilikian in Teachers (1984), Eugene Martone in Crossroads (1986), and Bill Gambini in My Cousin Vinny (1992). Television roles include Jeremy Andretti in Eight Is Enough (1980-81), Archie Rodriguez in Ugly Betty (2008-09), and a recurring role as Officer Haddix in The Deuce (2017-19).

I received Ralph Macchio's autograph through a private signing organised by East Coast Collector's Service in October 2020.

Danielle Harris

Danielle Andrea Harris (born 1 June 1977 in Plainview, New York, USA) is an American actress and film director. She is best known for her roles in multiple horror films, including four entries in the Halloween franchise: Halloween 4 and 5 (1988–89), as Jamie Lloyd; and the Halloween remake and its sequel (2007–09), as Annie Brackett. Other such roles include Tosh in Urban Legend (1998), Belle in Stake Land (2010), and Marybeth Dunston in the Hatchet series (2010–17).

Harris began her career as a child actress, with various appearances on television and prominent roles in films such as Marked for Death (1990), Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead (1991), The Last Boy Scout (1991), Free Willy (1993) and Daylight (1996)..

Traci Lords

Traci Elizabeth Lords (born Nora Louise Kuzma; 7 May 1968 in Steubenville, Ohio, USA) is an American actress, former adult actress, singer, and model.

Her mainstream films include Cry-Baby (1990), Serial Mom (1994), Virtuosity (1995), and Blade (1998). Lords also had a part in The Tommyknockers (1993), a television miniseries based on the Stephen King novel.

Prunella Scales

Prunella Margaret Rumney West Scales CBE (née Illingworth; born 22 June 1932 in Sutton Abinger, Surrey, England) is an English actress. She is best know for playing Basil Fawlty's wife Sybil in the BBC comedy Fawlty Towers (1975-1979).

I received Ms Scales's autograph through the mail in August 2015. The photo was then signed by John Cleese as well in 2021.

Chuck Norris

Carlos Ray "Chuck" Norris (born 10 March 1940 in Ryan, Oklahoma, USA) is an American martial artist, actor, film producer, and screenwriter. He is a black belt in Tang Soo Do, Brazilian jiu jitsu and judo. Friend and fellow martial artist Bruce Lee invited him to play one of the main villains in Way of the Dragon (1972). Norris then had starring roles in film such as Breaker! Breaker! (1977), Good Guys Wear Black (1978), A Force of One (1979), The Octagon (1980), An Eye for an Eye (1981), Silent Rage (1982), Forced Vengeance (1982), Lone Wolf McQuade (1983), Missing in Action (1984), Missing in Action 2: The Beginning (1985), Code of Silence (1985), Invasion U.S.A (1985), The Delta Force (1986), Firewalker (1986), Hero and the Terror (1988), Braddock: Missing in Action III (1988), Delta Force 2 (1990), The Hitman (1991), Sidekicks (1992), Forest Warrior (1996), and The President's Man (2000) and its sequel (2002). Norris made his last film appearance to date in Sylvester Stallone's The Expendables 2 (2012).

In the 1990s, he played the title role in the long running television series Walker, Texas Ranger (1993-2001). 

Mr Norris signed my Missing in Action Blu-ray sleeve in November 2020 at a private signing organised by CPA Authentics. The Expendables 2 photo was signed by Mr Norris during a Monopoly Events private signing in June 2021. I finally got to meet him at London Film & Comic Con on 9 July 2023.

Jennifer Tilly

Jennifer Tilly (born Jennifer Ellen Chan; 16 September 1958 in Los Angeles, California, USA) is an American-Canadian actress and poker player. She is probably best know for her role as Tiffany Valentine in the Child's Play franchise (1998-2017). Tilly is a World Series of Poker Ladies' Event bracelet winner, the first celebrity to win a World Series tournament. She is the older sister of actress Meg Tilly.

Tilly received an Academy Award nomination for her portrayal of Olive Neal in Woody Allen's Bullets over Broadway (1994).

I purchased Jennifer Tilly's autograph directly from her manager Tom Monjack in April 2021.

Simon Rhee (born Minhi Y. Rhee; 29 October 1957 in San Jose, California, USA) is a martial artist, actor, stuntman, stunt coordinator and fight choreographer. I know him best for his role as Dae Han Park in Best of the Best (1989) and Best of the Best II (1993). He also had acting credits in films such as Showdown in Little Tokyo (1991), Universal Soldier (1992) and Straight Outta Compton (2015). He is the brother of martial artist Phillip Rhee.

Steven Williams (born 7 January 1949 in Memphis, Tennessee, USA) is an American actor whom I know best for his roles as Captain Adam Fuller in 21 Jump Street (1987-91) and as X in The X-Files (1994-2002). He also appeared as Nester in Missing in Action 2: The Beginning (1985) and as bounty hunter Creighton Duke in Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday (1993).

Fred Williamson

Frederick Robert Williamson (born 5 March 1938 in Gary, Indiana, USA), also known as The Hammer, is an American actor and former professional American football defensive back who played mainly in the American Football League during the 1960s.Williamson is perhaps best known for his film career, starring as Tommy Gibbs in the crime drama film Black Caesar (1973) and its sequel Hell Up in Harlem (1973). Williamson also had other notable roles in other 1970s blaxploitation films such as Hammer (1972), That Man Bolt (1973) and Three the Hard Way (1974). Other films include The Inglorious Bastards (1978), From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Children of the Corn V: Fields of Terror (1998) and Starsky & Hutch (2004).

David Caruso

David Stephen Caruso (born 7 January 1956 in Forrest Hill, Queens, New York, USA) is a retired American actor and producer, best known for his roles as Detective John Kelly on the ABC crime drama NYPD Blue (1993-94) and Lieutenant Horatio Caine on the CBS series CSI: Miami (2002-12). I know him best as Deputy Mitch in First Blood (1982) however. He also appeared in the films An Officer and a Gentleman (1982), Twins (1988), Kiss of Death (1995) and Proof of Life (2000).

I purchased the autograph below on the Real Autograph Collectors Club (RACC) Facebook group in July 2021. It was originally obtained through the mail in March 2009.

Tony Bellew

Anthony Lewis Bellew (born 30 November 1982 in Liverpool, England) is an English former professional boxer who competed from 2007 to 2018. He held the WBC cruiserweight title from 2016 to 2017 and challenged for the undisputed cruiserweight championship in his final fight. At regional level, Bellew held the British and Commonwealth light-heavyweight titles between 2010 and 2014, the European cruiserweight title from 2015 to 2016, and is a three-time ABA heavyweight champion as an amateur. He portrayed antagonist boxer 'Pretty' Ricky Conlan in the 2015 Rocky film Creed.

John Cleese

John Marwood Cleese (born 27 October 1939 in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, England) is an English actor, comedian, screenwriter, and producer. Emerging from the Cambridge Footlights in the 1960s, he first achieved success at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and as a scriptwriter and performer on The Frost Report. In the late 1960s, he co-founded Monty Python, the comedy troupe responsible for the sketch show Monty Python's Flying Circus. Along with his Python co-stars Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones, Michael Palin and Graham Chapman, Cleese starred in Monty Python films, which include Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975), Life of Brian (1979) and The Meaning of Life (1983).

Cleese and first wife Connie Booth co-wrote the sitcom Fawlty Towers (1975-79) and he starred in it as Basil Fawlty. Cleese co-starred with Kevin Kline, Jamie Lee Curtis, and former Python colleague Michael Palin in A Fish Called Wanda (1989) and Fierce Creatures (1997), both of which he also wrote. For A Fish Called Wanda he was also nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay. He has also starred in Time Bandits (1981) and Rat Race (2001) and has appeared in many other films, including Silverado (1985), Mary Shelley's Frankenstein (1994), two James Bond films (as R and Q), two Harry Potter films (as Nearly Headless Nick) and the last three Shrek films.

Cinzia Monreale

Cinzia Monreale (born Cinzia Moscone; 22 June 1957 in Genoa, Italy) is an Italian actress. In 1978 she appeared in Lucio Fulci's Silver Saddle (1978). She is probably best known for her roles in Joe D'Amato's Beyond the Darkness (1979) and Fulci's The Beyond (1981).

Other roles include Fulci's Warriors of the Year 2072 (1984) and D'Amato's Return From Death (aka Frankenstein 2000)(1991).

Ms Monreale appeared at German Comic Con Dortmund Limited Edition on 31st July-1st August 2021 where she signed the Beyond the Darkness photo below. I bought the photo on the comic con's Facebook page not long after the event.

Giovanni Lombardo Radice

Giovanni Lombardo Radice (born 23 September 1954 in Rome, Italy; died 27 April 2023 in Rome, Italy) was an Italian film actor, also known as John Morghen.

He first began his career in theater before he starred in Ruggero Deodato's House on the Edge of the Park (1980). Radice appeared in many other Italian cult films such as Cannibal Apocalypse (1980), City of the Living Dead (1980), Cannibal Ferox (1981), Stage Fright (1987), Eleven Days, Eleven Nights (1987), The Church (1989), The Sect (1991).

Mr Radice appeared at German Comic Con Dortmund Limited Edition on 31st July-1st August 2021 where he signed the Cannibal Ferox photo below. I bought the photo on the comic con's Facebook page not long after the event.

Mary Kathleen Turner (born 19 June 1954 in Springfield. Missouri, USA) is an American actress who rose to fame during the 1980s, after roles in Body Heat (1981), The Man with Two Brains (1983), Crimes of Passion (1984), Romancing the Stone (1984) and Prizzi's Honor (1985), the last two earning her a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress – Motion Picture Musical or Comedy. She also had roles in Jewel of the Nile (1985), Switching Channels (1988), The Accidental Tourist (1988), The War of the Roses (1989), V.I. Warshawski (1991), Serial Mom (1994) and Peggy Sue Got Married (1986), for which she was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress. Her voice roles include Jessica Rabbit in Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988).

I bought Ms Turner's autograph from OC Celebrity Marketing in June 2021. They organised a private signing with her in November 2020.

Brian Earl Thompson (born 28 August 1959 in Ellensburg, Washington, USA) is an American actor. His career began with a small role as a punk in the 1984 film The Terminator. He played the villainous "Night Slasher" in the 1986 Stallone vehicle Cobra. Thompson has played several characters in the Star Trek franchise and the Alien Bounty Hunter on The X-Files. He appeared alongside Jean-Claude Van Damme in the 1990 film Lionheart (known as A.W.O.L. in the UK, and Wrong Bet in other countries, including the Netherlands and Australia).

Rhea Seddon

Margaret Rhea Seddon (born 8 November 8 1947 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, USA) is a physician and retired NASA astronaut. After being selected as part of the first group of astronauts to include women, she flew on three Space Shuttle flights: as mission specialist for STS-51-D and STS-40, and as payload commander for STS-58. Both before and after her career in the astronaut program, she has been active in the medical community in Tennessee, Mississippi and Texas.

I met Rhea at Autographica 20 in Heathrow in April 2014.

Hoot Gibson

Robert Lee "Hoot" Gibson (born 30 October 1946 in Cooperstown, New York, USA) is a former American naval officer and aviator, test pilot and aeronautical engineer. Selected by NASA in January 1978, Gibson became an astronaut in August 1979. Gibson flew five missions: STS-41-B in 1984, STS-61-C in 1986, STS-27 in 1988, STS-47 in 1992, and STS-71 in 1995. Gibson served as Chief of the Astronaut Office (December 1992 to September 1994) and as Deputy Director, Flight Crew Operations (March–November 1996). Gibson is active as a professional pilot who currently races regularly at the annual Reno Air Races.

I met Hoot at Autographica 20 in Heathrow in April 2014.

Greg Johnson

Gregory Harold "Box" Johnson (born 12 May 1962 in South Ruislip, London, England) is a NASA astronaut and a retired colonel in the United States Air Force. Johnson is a veteran of two space flights, STS-123 and STS-134. He served as pilot on his first mission, which delivered the Kibo logistics module and the Dextre robot arm to the International Space Station. Johnson was also assigned as the pilot to the STS-134 mission, which launched on May 16, 2011 and landed on June 1, 2011. Greg Johnson has also served in numerous roles for NASA including as a Capcom for several missions. At present time Gregory H. Johnson (Colonel, USAF, Ret.) is the President and Executive Director for the Center for the Advancement of Science in Space (CASIS).

Ted Kotcheff

William Theodore Kotcheff (born 7 April 1931 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada) is a Canadian film and television director and producer, known primarily for his work on British and American television productions such as Armchair Theatre and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. I know him best for directing the original Rambo movie First Blood (1982). He directed many other films including Wake in Fright (1971), Uncommon Valor (1983), Fun with Dick and Jane (1977), North Dallas Forty (1979), Switching Channels (1988), Winter People (1989), Weekend at Bernie's (1989), and The Shooter (1995).

I purchased Mr Kotcheff's autograph from RACC dealer Ron Dabitz who obtained the autograph at the Oldenburg Film Festival in Germany on 15 September 2011.

She is best known for her role as Valeria in the film Conan the Barbarian (1982), for which she won a Golden Globe and a Saturn Award. She starred as the titular protagonist in She (1984) and as the evil Queen Gedren in Red Sonja (1985).

Bernard Cribbins

Bernard Joseph Cribbins, OBE (born 29 December 1928 in Oldham, Lancashire, England; died 28 July 2022) was an English actor, comedian, and singer whose career spanned over 70 years. During the 1960s, Cribbins became known in the UK for his successful novelty records including "The Hole in the Ground" and "Right Said Fred", and made appearances in comedy films including Two-Way Stretch (1960) and the Carry On series. He appeared as Albert Perks in The Railway Children (1970), as barman Felix Forsythe in Alfred Hitchcock's Frenzy (1972) and as pretentious hotel guest Mr. Hutchinson in the Fawlty Towers episode "The Hotel Inspectors" (1975). He narrated the BBC children's television programme The Wombles (1973–1975) and was a regular and prolific reader for the BBC series Jackanory from 1966 to 1991.

Our Disappearing Planet organised a private signing with Mr Cribbins and I ordered a personalised Fawlty Towers photo back in August 2020. Unfortunately Mr Cribbins signed and personalised a Dr Who photo for me instead of the one I had requested. As I had already waited five or six months for it, I agreed with Our Disappearing Planet to just sent me the personalised Dr Who photo and one of the Fawlty Towers ones they had in stock.

Hulk Hogan

Terry Eugene Bollea (born 11 August 1953 in Augusta, Georgia, USA), better known by his ring name Hulk Hogan, is an American retired professional wrestler, television personality, actor, entrepreneur, and musician.

Although he is one of most recogisable professional wrestlers of all time I have never been into wrestling. I purchased the autograph below because of his appearance in Rocky III (1982). I ordered the signed photo from Hulk Hogan's official webstore in January 2021 and was very happy to add it to my Rocky collection.

He is best known for his roles as Lieutenant Martin "Marty" Castillo in the television series Miami Vice (1984–1989), actor in and director of American Me (1992), William Adama in the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica (2004–2009), teacher Jaime Escalante in Stand and Deliver (1988), and Detective Gaff in Blade Runner (1982), and its sequel Blade Runner 2049 (2017). In 2018, he played the father of two members of an outlaw motorcycle club in the FX series Mayans MC.

Cynthia Rothrock

Cynthia Ann Christine Rothrock (born 8 March 1957 in Wilmington, Delaware, USA) is an American martial artist and actress in martial arts films. She holds black belt rankings in seven styles of martial arts and was a high level competitor in martial arts before becoming an actress.

Cynthia's films include No Retreat, No Surrender 2 (1987), China O'Brien (1988) and its 1989 sequel, Martial Law (1990) and its 1991 sequel, Lady Dragon (1992) and its 1994 sequel, and Rage and Honor (1992) and both 1993 sequels.

I ordered Cynthia's signed photo from her official website and received it in January 2021. I later met her in person at London Film & Comic Con on 9 July 2023.
