Jonathan Majors

Jonathan Michael Majors (born September 7, 1989)[1][2] is an American actor. I know him best for his role as  Dame Anderson in Creed III (2023). Since 2021, he has appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as different iterations of Kang the Conqueror. In the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), he portrayed Kang the Conqueror in the film Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023), while also appearing as other variants of the character in the Disney+ series Loki (2021–23).

I purchased the signed Creed III photo from Signing Dreams Autographs at Comic Con Scotland on 7 October 2023.

Michael B. Jordan

Michael Bakari Jordan (born 9 February 1987 in Santa Ana, California, USA) is an American actor and director. He is known for his film roles as shooting victim Oscar Grant in the drama Fruitvale Station (2013), boxer Donnie Creed in Creed (2015), and Erik Killmonger in Black Panther (2018), all three of which were written and directed by Ryan Coogler. Jordan reprised the role of Creed in Creed II (2018), and Killmonger in What If...? (2021), and is set to star and make his directorial debut in Creed III (2023).

I purchased the signed photo below from Big Screen Autographs at Comic Con Scotland in Edinburgh in October 2022.

Vince DiCola

Vincent Louis "Vince" DiCola (born 17 October 1957 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA) is an American composer, keyboardist and arranger. He has composed scores for films such as Staying Alive (1983), Rocky IV (1985), and The Transformers: The Movie (1986).

In October 2022 I pre-ordered the CD Rocky IV: The Symphonic Rock Suite recorded at the 13th Annual Fimucité Festival in Tenerife, Spain in 2019. This EP is a limited edition release of 500 units and Vince signed the first 50 of these. This was an excellent opportunity to finally obtain the autograph of a musician whose music has meant so much to me.

Tony Bellew

Anthony Lewis Bellew (born 30 November 1982 in Liverpool, England) is an English former professional boxer who competed from 2007 to 2018. He held the WBC cruiserweight title from 2016 to 2017 and challenged for the undisputed cruiserweight championship in his final fight. At regional level, Bellew held the British and Commonwealth light-heavyweight titles between 2010 and 2014, the European cruiserweight title from 2015 to 2016, and is a three-time ABA heavyweight champion as an amateur. He portrayed antagonist boxer 'Pretty' Ricky Conlan in the 2015 Rocky film Creed.

Hulk Hogan

Terry Eugene Bollea (born 11 August 1953 in Augusta, Georgia, USA), better known by his ring name Hulk Hogan, is an American retired professional wrestler, television personality, actor, entrepreneur, and musician.

Although he is one of most recogisable professional wrestlers of all time I have never been into wrestling. I purchased the autograph below because of his appearance in Rocky III (1982). I ordered the signed photo from Hulk Hogan's official webstore in January 2021 and was very happy to add it to my Rocky collection.

Richard Gant

Richard Gant (born 10 March 1944) is an American actor. I know him best for his roles as George Washington Duke in Rocky V (1990), as Cunningham in Stone Cold (1991) and as Phil the Coroner in Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday (1993). Other films include CB4 (1993), City Hall (1996), The Glimmer Man (1996), The Big Lebowski (1998), Godzilla (1998), Nutty Professor II: The Klumps (2000) and Norbit (2007).

I obtained Mr Gant's autograph through a private signing organised by Olympus Autographs in August 2020.

Roberto Durán

Roberto Durán Samaniego (born 16 June 1951 in El Chorrillo, Panama) is a Panamanian former professional boxer who competed from 1968 to 2001. He held world championships in four weight classes: lightweight, welterweight, light middleweight and middleweight, as well as reigns as the undisputed and lineal lightweight champion and the lineal welterweight champion.

He also appeared as as Rocky's sparring partner in Rocky II (1979), as drug lord Jesus Maroto in an episode of Miami Vice (1986) and as Roberto in Harlem Nights (1989).

I met Roberto at the Entertainment Media Show in London in October 2011.

Carl Weathers

Carl Weathers (born 14 January 1948 in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA; died 1 February 2024 in Los Angeles, California, USA) was an American actor and former professional football player.

He was best known for portraying Apollo Creed in the first four Rocky films (1976-85), Al Dillon in Predator (1987), Jericho "Action" Jackson in Action Jackson (1988), Chubbs Peterson in Happy Gilmore (1996) and Little Nicky (2000) and a fictionalized version of himself in the comedy series Arrested Development (2004-13). He had a recurring role as Greef Karga in the Star Wars-spinoff series, The Mandalorian (2019-23). As a football player, Weathers played for the Oakland Raiders of the National Football League and the B.C. Lions of the Canadian Football League.

I met Carl at Collectormania London in November 2010, at Film & Comic Con Newcastle in March 2014 and at London Film & Comic Con in July 2016.

Antonio Tarver

Antonio Deon Tarver (born 21 November 1968 in Orlando, Florida, USA) is an American former professional boxer, boxing commentator and actor. In boxing he competed from 1997 to 2015, and held multiple light heavyweight world championships, including the WBA (Super), WBC, IBF and Ring magazine titles, as well the IBO light heavyweight and cruiserweight titles.

As an amateur, Tarver represented the United States at the 1996 Olympics, winning a bronze medal in the light heavyweight division; he eventually lost to Vassiliy Jirov from Kazakhstan, whom he had previously defeated at the 1995 World Championships to win gold. Tarver also triumphed at the 1995 Pan American Games and 1995 U.S. National Championships, winning gold in both. He remains the only boxer in history to have won gold at the Pan Am Games, World Championships and U.S. Nationals all in the same year.

Outside of boxing, Tarver starred as Mason "The Line" Dixon, the heavyweight champion in the 2006 film Rocky Balboa.

I obtained Antonio Tarver's autograph through a signing he did at Bilotta Gallery in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on 29 October 2017. There was an option to pre-order these and the personalised autograph was then sent to me by mail.

Graham McTavish

Graham James McTavish (born 4 January 1961 in Glasgow, Scotland) is a Scottish film, television and voice actor. He is known for his roles as Dwalin in The Hobbit film trilogy (2012-14), Dougal Mackenzie in the Starz series Outlander (2014-16) and the Saint of Killers in the AMC series Preacher (2016-present). I know him for his roles as Lewis in Rambo (2008) and Tommy Holiday in Creed (2015). Apart from Sylvester Stallone, he is therefore the only actor with speaking parts in both the Rambo and Rocky franchises.

I met Graham at Collectormania Glasgow in August 2013.

Brigitte Nielsen

Brigitte Nielsen (born Gitte Nielsen on 15 July 1963 in Rødovre, Denmark) is a Danish actress, model, singer and reality television personality who began her career modeling and later acted in the 1985 fantasy film Red Sonja alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger. She is also known for her marriage to Sylvester Stallone, with whom she starred in two films; she played Ludmilla Drago in Rocky IV (1985) and the title character's love interest Ingrid in Cobra (1986). She played Karla Fry in Beverly Hills Cop II (1987). In 2018 she reprised the character of Ludmilla Drago in Creed II.

I purchased the signed photo from Brigitte's website in 2013. In December 2018 she was a guest at For the Love of Sci-Fi in Manchester and signed the Rocky IV poster through Monopoly Events' send-in service.

Tony Burton

Anthony Mabron "Tony" Burton (born 23 March 1937 in Flint, Michigan, USA; died 25 February 2016 in Menifee, California, USA) was an American actor, boxer, and football player. I knew him for his role as Tony "Duke" Evers in the first six Rocky films (1976-2006).

He also had parts in a number of other notable films including John Carpenter's Assault on Precinct 13 (1976), Stanley Kubrick's The Shining (1980), Stir Crazy (1980), The Toy (1982), Armed and Dangerous (1986), House Party 2 (1991), Spielberg's Hook (1991) and the Stallone film Shade (2003).

Mr Burton passed away at the age of 78 from complications of pneumonia. Only one or two months prior I had purchased his autograph from The Philadelphia Connection Store.

Burt Young

Gerald Tommaso DeLouise (born 30 April 1940 in Queens, New York, USA; died 8 October 2023 in Los Angeles, California, USA), better known by his stage name Burt Young, was an American actor, author and painter. He was best known for his role as Rocky Balboa's brother-in-law and best friend Paulie Pennino in the Rocky film series (1976-2006).

Other notable films include Chinatown (1974), Convoy (1978), Amityville II: The Possession (1982), Once Upon a Time in America (1984), Back to School (1986), and Last Exit to Brooklyn (1990).

In March 2019 I met Burt at Comic Con Liverpool where he signed the Rocky IV poster. The autographs on the two Rocky Balboa photos were obtained through the mail in January 2015.

Bill Conti

William Conti (born 13 April 1942 in Providence, Rhode Island, USA) is an American composer and conductor best known for his film scores. These include Rocky (1976) and four of its sequels, the James Bond film For Your Eyes Only (1981), the 1980s hit television series Dynasty, and The Right Stuff (1985). The latter earned him an Academy Award for Best Original Score. He also received nominations in the Best Original Song category for "Gonna Fly Now" from Rocky and for the title song of For Your Eyes Only, which was sung by Sheena Easton. He was the musical director at the Academy Awards a record nineteen times.

Conti composed the score of ten Sylvester Stallone films. In addition to five of the Rocky films the following productions have a Bill Conti score: F.I.S.T. (1978), Paradise Alley (1978), Victory (known as Escape to Victory in the UK and other territories) (1981), Lock Up (1989) and Avenging Angelo (2002).

Other favourites of mine include The Karate Kid (1984), the TV series North & South (1985), Masters of the Universe (1987) and Inferno (known as Desert Heat in Europe)(1999).

The signed press photo below was obtained through the mail. The signed Inferno CD booklet was purchased from Buysoundtrax.com.

Frank Stallone

Frank Stallone, Jr. (born 30 July 1950 in New York City, New York, USA) is an American actor, singer-songwriter and guitarist. He is the younger brother of Sylvester Stallone and wrote music for some of his movies e.g. Rocky I, II and III, Rambo: First Blood Part II and Over The Top. His song "Far from Over", which appeared in the Sylvester Stallone directed film Staying Alive (1983) and was also featured in the film's soundtrack, peaked at number ten on the Billboard Hot 100, for which he received Golden Globe and Grammy nominations.

As an actor he has 74 credits on IMDb. Among these are parts in the Cannon productions Barfly (1987) and Ten Little Indians (1989), Hudson Hawk (1991) and Tombstone (1993).

Dolph Lundgren

Hans "Dolph" Lundgren (born 3 November 1957 in Spånga, Sweden) is a Swedish actor, director, screenwriter, producer, and martial artist. Lundgren became famous as Ivan Drago, the villain in Rocky IV, one of my favourite films. He then portrayed He-Man in the 1987 film Masters of the Universe. Other notable films are Red Scorpion (1988), The Punisher (1989), Dark Angel (also known as I Come in Peace) (1990), Cover-Up (1991), Showdown in Little Tokyo (1991), Universal Soldier (1992), Pentathlon (1994), Men of War (1994), Johnny Mnemonic (1995) and the Expendables trilogy (2010-2014).

I met Dolph at London Film & Comic Con in 2016 where he signed the Rocky IV press photo and poster below. The signed colour photo with the red background was purchased from a dealer at Collectormania Glasgow a few years prior.
