Sergio Martino

Sergio Martino (born 19 July 1938 in Rome, Italy) is an Italian film director and producer, notable for his contributions to the giallo genre. Martino is the brother of the late producer Luciano Martino (who died in 2013). They collaborated frequently in their respective professions. Their grandfather was director Gennaro Righelli.

I know him best for genre films such as The Strange Vice of Mrs Wardh (1971), The Case of the Scorpion's Tale (1971), All the Colours of the Dark (1972), Your Vice is a Locked Room and Only I Have the Key (1972), Torso (1973), The Violent Professionals (1973), Silent Action (1975), The Suspicious Death of a Minor (1975), The Slave of the Cannibal God (1978), The Great Alligator (1979), 2019: After the Fall of New York (1983), and Hands of Steel (1986).

I met Mr Martino at the Weird Worcester convention in June 2025.

Lamberto Bava

Lamberto Bava (born 3 April 1944 in Rome, Italy) is an Italian film director. He is the son of legendary director Mario Bava. I know him for films such as Macabre (1980), A Blade in the Dark (1983), Blastfighter (1984), Monster Shark (1984), Demons (1985), Demons 2 (1986), Delirium (1987), and Body Puzzle (1992).

I met Mr Bava at the Weird Worcester Convention in June 2025.

Catriona MacColl

Catriona MacColl (born 3 October 1954 in London, England) is an English actress who has worked extensively in both film and television across Europe. She is best known for her work in Italian horror films, as she has appeared in Lucio Fulci's Gates of Hell trilogy; City of the Living Dead (1980), The Beyond (1981) and The House by the Cemetery (1981).

Howard Ross

Howard Ross (born Renato Rossini; 10 January 1941 in Rome, Italy) is an Italian film actor. Rossini got his first major roles in peplum films. In the mid-1960s, he adopted the stage name Howard Ross. He was mainly active in genre films, specialising in adventure films, giallo films and poliziotteschi.

I know him for films such as The Boss (1973), Werewolf Woman (1976), The Pyjama Girl Case (1977), The New York Ripper (1982), and Warriors of the Year 2072 (1984).
